Images & photos can be captured by Haiku, Canto, Rover, registration cameras, or from external CD downloaded to an Upstate workstation & be imported or uploaded to Epic patient files.
Patients can attach images & photos in MyChart to share with the provider.
Patient photos in the Storyboard display are managed by ADT. If a patient photo must be updated, send the ticket to ADT.
Once images are saved, they can be inserted into a note: Insert Clinical Image into a Note
What to Do
Resolution of issues with photos/images will depend on the user & source of the image.
ED has Life Image software to import images from external sources via Synapse. Issues are reassigned to Radiology Support.
Images via Synapse or PACS reassign to Radiology Support
Issues relating to downloading & saving file from CD reassign to Desktop Support.
Haiku/Canto image issues if not resolved after tip sheet review, reassign to EMR
Rover image issues reassign to Connected Health after reviewing available tip sheets for removing images.
