The Syracuse University Tuition Program is available to both full-time and part-time (0.50 FTE or greater) employees of SUNY Upstate (both State and Research Foundation). Tuition credits may be applied to Syracuse University on campus undergraduate and graduate courses offered by the main campus colleges, University College, and the extended campus of the School of Education. Online programs that include “@Syracuse” in their title are not eligible. Priority will be given to employees who precept SU students. All other eligible Upstate employees will be prioritized based on the date the application is received.
Employees must:
- Have been continuously employed for at least 12 months and in a “working active status” throughout the duration of the course or semester;
- Have a satisfactory work record, including the most current performance evaluation and an acceptable time and attendance record.
Applications will be accepted for each semester, including spring, summer, and fall. The two summer semesters count as one semester. This educational program is subject to the availability of credits. An incomplete application will not be considered. The application must have been reviewed with, and approved by, the employee’s supervisor and Department Chairperson/Director. This program covers tuition only. All fees, books, and other charges will be billed directly to the employee by Syracuse University.
