New Hire and Required Training

  • Professional Development and Learning assigns onboarding, monthly, and annual training via "My Training." Staff are notified via email and receive reminders to complete the trainings. When staff pass the associated test, completion is entered to Self Serve-Training Tracker hourly. Reports for monthly trainings can be run in Self Serve (Applications-Training-Tracker-Reports.) Use the "Training All in Department" report by entering in the tracker code (located in the Brightspace course introduction, and also on the education grid that is sent out) and your department. For the housewide annual educations, the "Mandatory Compliance" report is recommended.
  • Annual education is outlined in the M-04 Mandatory Staff Education Policy. Departments may complete additional annual education specific to their work area or patient population

My Training and Coach Access

New hires are assigned to a basic learning path by PDL based on role. For department specific courses, you can work with PDL to create a path for your dept/unit.
